Texas Ballet Theater's 2014-2015 season promises to be a year of timeless classics and cutting-edge premieres. The company is pleased to be joined by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra once again to present The Sleeping Beauty, a classic fairytale about Princess Aurora, Prince Florimund, the evil fairy Carabosse and a one hundred year old curse. Join Clara on her magical journey and experience the wonder of Texas Ballet Theater's annual holiday classic, The Nutcracker. For a night of comic relief, be sure to join the Texas Ballet Theater as it presents The Nutty Nutcracker, a PG-13 spoof of The Nutcracker. Adapted from the operetta of the same name and accompanied by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, The Merry Widow is a romantic comedy centered on a wealthy young widow, who is to be courted by a bankrupt suitor. Unexpected love triangles, leading to hilarious confusion, weave a story sure to delight. Mixed in with the classic ballets of the season, you will experience two different mixed repertoire shows; Masterworks and Artistic Director's Choice. Join us in Dallas to see the company premier of Jiri Kylian's Petite Mort along with George Balanchine's Rubies, and Ben Stevenson's Five Poems.
